These two beauties are my oldest son's daughter and son. They live in Reno, Nevada, USA.
The principle is still valid. The local motorcycle repair shop was very busy and couldn't get to my motorcycle until very late in the day or maybe not at all. I said OK and walked to the nearby bakery. There I spent about $4 on pastries, returned to the shop and passed them out to all the working mechanics and their boss without saying a word except "for you." With plenty left over. The Yamaha was done in 20 minutes!
It is universal. When I needed hospital records for life insurance policies I would silently put a 2 pound box of chocolate on the nurse's desk and say nothing except "I really need these records today, but I know you are busy." Instead of having to wait for the copy clerk to make the records for me (usually in a week!), I would have them same day!
This is the grocery store's idea of truth in labeling! It marks the cooler with soda drinks...like Coca cola and the like.

My backpack fits nicely on the motorcycle. Much better than the old configerations.

"Milk" is English for leche. There is no whole milk avaliable in this country except at the farm..... when warm and still in the bucket! Only 2% is found in the stores. Well, the goat milk is whole and next door on the cooler shelf.
Boil these babies for an hour, then peel, then fry! Tastes like potato if you haven't gone out for dinner in the meantime! Called Juca.
My local grocery store never heard of a "six pack"! It really cramps my shopping.

The big banano is not a banana-so don't peel and eat. It is a platano. Peel and fry! The CRicans then cover it with brown sugar and eat.

Don't ever come across this highway barracade after sunset! This is a two way highway in Panama and a possible killer after dark when an oncoming vehicle blinds you for the critical moment. If you get my meaning!!
